How to Love Your Neighbor - February 4, 2024
Thursday Oct 03, 2024
Thursday Oct 03, 2024
There is a Bible scholar named Matthew Henry who was once attacked and robbed. In his diary, he explained that he was thankful he had not been robbed before; his money was taken, but not his life. What was taken wasn’t much, and he was the one who was robbed, not the one doing the robbing. While I sincerely appreciate Matthew Henry's attitude of gratitude, it makes me sad to think he did not have a rescuer for whom he could also be thankful. The bad news is, we are surrounded by people in dire situations. The good news is, we can be the heroes they need. This Sunday, let's rediscover how Jesus makes that possible.

Improving Your Prayer Life - Part Three: Temptation Liberation
Monday Sep 30, 2024
Monday Sep 30, 2024
Most of us find it a bit unnatural to pray, “Father, lead us not into temptation.” Do you know why? There is a part of us that WANTS to go to that place. Part of me wants to pray, “Father, lead US not into temptation…because I don’t need Your help getting there since I know the way myself. And when I get there, I don’t want You or anyone else around!” Praying, “Father, lead us not into temptation” is a bit like praying, “Lead us not to where we kinda wanna go.” Can we really pray “Lead us not into temptation” and truly mean it? We can. You can, and this Sunday God is going to show you how. In fact, at the end of the service, most of us are going to pray it like we mean it, and it’s going to be liberating and beautiful.
